The Product Ambition

VUID was created to give businesses real-time visibility across their operations. The ambition was to build business critical software that did not behave like fragile software: it needed to be scalable, reliable, and able to update without users feeling the system disappear underneath them.

The Technical Achievement

The platform was made up of more than 48 apps integrated with each other, with redundant containerised servers behind each app. It was written in NodeJS, ran on Tredly Containers and FreeBSD, and used PostgreSQL.

The accomplishment was not only building a complicated system, but creating something users could rely on as operational infrastructure.
