Investors & Family Offices
I work alongside investors, family offices, founders and owners on businesses, decisions, portfolio-company problems, opportunities and strategy — where an outside view is useful.
The work is practical. It might be inside a portfolio company where the investment case and what is happening on the ground have diverged. It might be a founder, a management team or a board facing a decision with real downside. It might be a business raising capital, expanding internationally, looking for customers or strategic relationships, or working through a transaction.
I am often brought in when the people involved, the incentives, or the way the problem has been framed are as important as the spreadsheet. I have spent twenty-five years in those rooms — as operator, investor and adviser — not observing from the outside.
Engagements are bespoke. They are not a fund, a mandate, or a pipeline of deals sent to a mailing list. Introductions and work happen in context, when there is a real situation to address.
Portfolio companies
Direct work inside businesses you already own or are close to — where execution, leadership behaviour, commercial reality or alignment with the thesis needs an honest second view.
Decisions
Strategy, negotiations, opportunities, difficult people situations, and choices where the cost of being wrong is significant. Often that means saying plainly what others in the room are avoiding.
Capital and growth
Businesses raising capital, entering new markets, building partnerships or restructuring how they go to market. I have been on the operating side of those processes, not only advising them.
Network
I work across founders, operators, investors and owners internationally. When an introduction makes sense, it is because it fits a situation — not because I am running a deal shop.
